Zoho Social Review

Zoho Social Review

Pros

The most notable advantage of Zoho Social over the other platforms is its ease of use. The UX design is impressive and intuitive for both experts and novices.

Finally, Zoho has introduced a package for agencies which packs more features. It also gives brand managers more control over their teams and clients. This, however, needs refinement and preferably white-labeling.

Users can now post directly to Instagram directly without the need for mobile phone notifications, a Facebook account linked to Instagram is however needed.

Support for posting multiple images per post.

The teamwork and collaboration feature is rudimentary but functional for basic social media management by individuals and small agencies. Mid-sized agencies and technical professionals will, however, find this feature deficient. It is, however, a significant improvement from the initial version. It gives the brand manager more control and flexibility to the team.

I love the calendar view for managing the content pipeline. It gives a snapshot of all the posts which is significant for strategy implementation and review. The drag and drop feature makes post manipulation a breeze.

Posts can be made directly from Zoho Social to Instagram without the need for mobile phones.

Cons

Does not support management of personal Facebook accounts, groups etc.

Their analysis is limited to a specific period (shorter compared to other competitors)

Does not support comparison of analytics between different social media platforms of the same brand. That is, you can’t compare the performance of say Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn of the same brand.

Zoho does not offer a white labeling as an option for agencies e.g. for reporting, posting etc.

Lacks RSS integration and automation as such content curation is manual or users have to resort to third-party tools.

I still have issues with the android app which doesn’t show notifications until its manually launched even after granting it all access.

Recommendations/Improvements

Integration of a multimedia management tool/gallery to store and do basic editing on photos and videos is necessary

There is a need for an inbuilt tool for campaign and promotion management.

Social listing on this platform is rather basic. There is a need for listening beyond all social media channels to include the web (blogs, websites, news channels), and influencer analysis.
